Now, if you are gonna rip/bypass that restriction from a digital storefront, you are still technically pirating because you are breaking that terms of service agreement. You agree to these restrictions when accept the storefronts terms of service. But like I said, this is the legal, technical restrictions put on you. You are not buying the right to watch the media any way you want. When you are buying these things from the digital storefront, you are buying a license to stream it/watch it strictly through the media players associated with that storefront (ie iTunes, googleplay). Unfortunately, speaking from a technical legal standpoint, you are not allowed to download the movies/tv you buy unless the storefront you are buying from has that option freely available. is the safest avenue to acquire a digital copy that isn’t bound to a storefront or will get you in trouble with the law/sued.
